HISTORY

After running off to Vegas, Buffy had written in her diary tales of vampires and demons. Her parents discovered the diary and felt no other choice than to have her committed. At the mental institution, Buffy liked not having to slay vampires and demons night after night, while working with a Dr. Primrose to purge herself of all "supernatural; delusions." Her temporary break from slayage came to a halt when she uncovered a sinister plot by a demon posing as a psychiatrist who was turning patients into his brides, feeding off their souls.

Following the sect of girls who claimed to be demon brides one night into the basement of the institution, Buffy discovered that head therapist Dr. Stone was the demon Rakagore! Posing as a human, Rakagore was able to corrupt the minds of the troubled girls who entered the institution and forced them into becoming his brides. After Rakagore would wed a bride, he sent her forth to sup on the souls of the innocent, digesting on the soul's untainted essence. A heavily medicated Buffy attempted to do her best to stop Rakagore, but he managed to knock her out and locked her in a padded room, planning to deal with Dr. Primrose next -- who had known of Buffy's destiny and purposefully took her out of Stone's group therapy to help her want to fulfill her role as Slayer.

Breaking out her cell, Buffy crashed Rakagore's party and used a battle-axe from Primrose's personal arsenal to take down Rakagore once and for all by slicing through his 'Rorschach' psychological force field. The following day, Buffy was discharged, having fully accepted her responsibility of her duties as Slayer.
