Pursuing a ring of vampires that had been emigrating from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, Buffy the Vampire Slayer Buffy Summers and her friend Pike tracked them to their nest at the Golden Touch Casino. There they encountered the owners of the casino, the Sidle siblings -- Marcus and Mary Lou -- conjoined twins with a twist on top of that -- he was a vampire and she wasn't!
Their grandfather, Garner Sidle started the casino in the 1920s, but during the 1930s, he was turned into a vampire. Even with his new way of life, Sidle continued to run the place, having his son run it during the day, feeding on anyone who owed the casino debts. As the casino grew, more and more vampires became attracted to it, turning into a vampire factory. As Sidle grew older, he began to lose his memory, and attacked his grandchildren one day, turning Marcus into vampire, but was staked by Mary Lou before he could the same to her.
When the Sidle twins realized that Buffy had a good chance of taking their casino down, they decided to take their money and scram. Before they could escape, the sprinkler system off, which Buffy had tampered with by having a Vegas priest bless the casino's water pipes, killing all the vampires insid including Marcus. As a human, Mary Lou was unharmed by her conjoined brother's death and continued to run the casino. Unable to pin any charges on her, Buffy left Mary Lou alone, deciding that since she killed all the vampire customers, the casino would probably go out of business.
POWERS + WEAKNESSES
Marcus had the standard powers of a vampire: superhuman strength, speed, reflexes, and durability, along with virtual immortality.
Marcus had all the vulnerabilities of a Buffyverse vampire: direct sunlight would cause combustion that would eventually kill him if he stays out in the sun's rays for more than a few seconds. A stake through the heart and decapitation would instantly kill him. In addition, certain objects of religious significance to Christians -- specifically Bibles, crucifixes, and holy water -- can burn his flesh. Also, he could not enter a person's home unless he's invited by one of the occupants.
