Buffy the Vampire Slayer #12Buffy Wins Wizard Awards
Wizard Magazine #196 showed Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight #15 taking a slight step back on Wizard's "Hot 10: Comics" to no. 4, to make room for Umbrella Academy #1 and Halo: Uprising #1 list, coming in at an estimated value of $7. Joss Whedon holds the no. 3 spot on the "Hot 10 Writers" list, while recent Buffy scribe Brian K. Vaughan came in at no. 10.

Wizard's Best of 2007 awarded Buffy Season Eight 'Creepiest Resurrection' of the year (for Warren Meers return sans-skin) and the 'Best TV Show in Comics" award.

Dark Horse's Buffy Zone has been updated and announced that there will be an upcoming Serenity story called "A Shepherd's Tale."

The release date of Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men #24 has been pushed back from December 28 to January 23.

Buffy Season Eight Vol. 1: The Long Way Home received a nomination from the Young Adult Library Services Association in the "Great Graphic Novels For Teens" category.

Comics Continuum has a four page preview for Angel: After The Fall #2. Brian Lynch opened up the floor to questions on Angel: After the Fall, answering them on his MySpace blog.

Diamond's Direct Market Sales Charts released the Whedonverse comic book chart positions for the month of November: Astonishing X-Men #23 came second, Buffy #8 took 10th place and Angel: After The Fall #1 came in at no. 41. The estimated sales figures can be found at ICv2.com.

Wizard Magazine reported that Dark Horse had issued a hardcover collection of the “Long Way Home” storyline by Joss Whedon from Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8. It was given out as a thank-you to retailers, much like they did with Sin City: The Hard Goodbye. Prices on eBay have been fluctuating around $20, so pick one up while you still can!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight News
A Comic Shop, located in Orlando, Florida will be having Buffy Season Eight artist Georges Jeanty to do a signing on October 26th 2007. All details can be found Here. They will be raffling away a lithograph of the first issue's cover signed by the cover artist Jo Chen and signed by Joss Whedon in the store on the day of the signing. In order to compete, people need to sign up at the store ahead of time. Another lithograph signed by Jo Chen will be raffled off for people who help promote the signing Here.

Wizard Magazine #193 showed Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight #1 to still maintain the number two spot for a fifth month in Wizard's "Hot 10: Comics" list, coming in at an estimated value of $9. Whedon dropped down two spots to no. 6 on the "Hot 10 Writers" list.
