Harley appeared during the 'Catwoman goes to jail' storyline, where she took advantage of a hostage situation at the prison by dressing up as a security guard to sneak Catwoman out. Harley Quinn's first appearance in the "Batman: Animated Series" episode Joker's Favor, she did not have her trademark costume on for most of the episode, dressing instead as a police officer in a mini skirt.
